Does your league have a motto?

We skate through hell and high water.

Our league was formed in 2004 but took a huge hit from hurricane Katrina as did the rest of New Orleans. We came back and bouted for the first time in 2006, proving that we could keep going despite adversity.

Who are your captains this year?

Coalminer's Slaughter- she is a personal trainer who brings her love of exercise and sports to every practice where she always gives 100%. She models dedication and devotion to excellence. She is the source of all advice needed for staying healthy, eating well, and taking care of your body. She is excellent at giving motivational speeches that remind us why we've worked so hard.

Harmaknee cares about everyone on the team and makes sure they have a good time while also bringing strategic smarts.

What are some game highlights from your travel team season this year?

For us, the big wins weren't necessarily our proudest moments, but we celebrate other little victories. Holding a jammer from a strong team through two natural grand slams, reducing our overall penalties, or other accomplishments that show growth as a team.
